Cassis is a charming port town on the Cote d’Azur less than an hour away from us.
When I say charming, it is somewhat of an understatement. It has all the elements to make a zinger of a painting … that special Provencial sunlight with its azure blue sky, a multitude of colorful tourists and all manner of boats dancing in the blue Mediterranean. The port is full of wonderful restaurants facing the docks where you can partake of Aioli
or a plate of mussels and French fries. And live the good life.
I have made many a trip there to paint with my good friend, Caline. And will go again this summer to capture its charm.
