Or Summer’s Wheat Through the Trees...
This painting was created in Kenya at the safari resort of Lewa Downs, a sixty thousand acre custom private Bush Home in Central Highlands, Kenya. Because of our daughter Christine’s business selling high end safaris in Kenya and Tanzania, she arranged Don and myself many visits to this paradise where one can live with the animals… elephants (my favorite), lions, cheetahs, zebras, ostriches, gazelles and so many more. Not to mention the smiling faces of the Africans who take care of this charming place. One morning I was taken with the beautiful African light on the wheat and the tortuous shape of the trees that so stubbornly hang on to life afforded by the nearby stream.
