For those of you who have not visited the well-known village of Roussillon in the north Luberon, it will be a visual extravaganza. For some reason the earth in the area has the most extraordinary colours, deep reddish purple, pale oranges of every value, intense copper reds, and yellow ochre as if straight out of a tube of yellow ochre.
And all the houses in the village use these earth tones to render their homes like a kaleidoscope. It is a treat to see.
