Accolades to the Sun

I just designed a garden for dear Atlanta friends, Marvin and Mindy Banks, in Saint Martin de la Braque, Provence. It is about a thirty minute drive from our home through the most exquisite valley of the Luberon. On the way everyday, I would pass by the most glorious field of sunflowers and it stopped me every time. Newly planted, they stood tall and magnificent in the hot Provincial sun. I just had to paint them and paint them.
