Figures
Studying portraiture for three years under the tutelage of Roman and Constantine Chatov in the eighties in Atlanta, Georgia, even if I didn’t plan on it, I became a painter of portraits. For the next twelve years, I was a portraitist, something I vowed never to be. But because of their wonderful instruction, I learned the basics and the secrets of painting the figure. And getting a likeness, which is so very important. - Alice Williams
