Still Lifes

As I have often said to my students, still lifes are a great subject matter to paint. They are constant…meaning they don’t move or change, And for sure, they are always available. So I choose some of my favorite things, put  a strong light on them, and paint away.And a great painting should have great subject matter. - Alice Williams
