Lewa Wilderness
Lewa Wilderness, the premier safari destination in Kenya (and Africa), is paradise on earth. Introduced to us in 1993 by our daughter, Christine Williams Mann, and her travel and custom safari company The Portal.Travel (www.theportal.travel ). It has become a part of my soul and the energy that surrounds me when at Lewa stirs my creativity like no other place.
Owners Will and Emma Craig, and their family are the genuine continuation of a Kenyan tradition that started in 1922 with the Craig/Douglas family. Their friendship over the years has been so meaningful to Don and me. To have them ask that my paintings be displayed at Lewa Wilderness is such an honor. Part of the revenue created by the sale of my paintings will go directly to fund a nearby community orphanage. Furnishing everyday needs such as beds, food, and school items and school fees.
Moved by their generosity, a percentage of all proceeds of my paintings at Lewa are donated to Lewa’s Community Social Resources program and gifted to the local orphanage.
In March of 2025, Don and I will once again head to our beloved Kenya. There I will be painting new pieces for Lewa Wilderness.
