Every once in awhile, I will pick a subject matter that is difficult. As I like a challenge. One morning not long ago when I arrived in my studio, the east sun was creating this complicated configuration of shadows on my favorite tablecloth. It looked great at the time, but I didn’t realize just how much of a challenge this scene would be. But that is what a challenge is all about, n’est pas? So, I persevered and this is the result.
