Oil on linen
One of the joys of painting for me is doing it on location. There is the energy of the sunshine and the people of their village who are always so discreet and lovely, but curious to see what I am up to…
Don drove me to Lauris this time and we found a court yard off the main street where I could set up in the quiet and paint this particular painting. The neighbor of the red door was out cleaning and pruning his balcony and when he came to take a look, I asked him to get back on his ladder so I could paint him. We had a good chuckle.
