The fabulous port town of Honfleur has been the subject of many of my paintings for years now. Reason being, it is so very paintable. We went there many times in the late eighties while living in Paris and I was bewitched by its charm.

Recently we returned for a visit with friends who live not far away. It had not lost any of its charm… au contraire, just seemed even more paintable, thus, great subject matter for any painting. And boats in Honfleur are like fish in the sea… they are everywhere. Not hard to find great subject matter any day there. The best part is creating their reflections dancing on the water.
