One of my favorite subject matters long ago, the lamp Audrey sold me years ago (for five pounds!) still adorns our dining room after some forty years! The shade is even more tattered but that just adds to the charm, I guess.
So, several weeks ago a client (from Lebanon, no less!) visited, saw a large still life where the lamp was featured and commissioned me to paint this lamp once again in a still life. Wow, all this brought back lots of wonderful memories.
And here it is…
