Per Chance

Just a year ago next month, we made our last move (I hope!) from Lauris, close to Lourmarin, to the little village of Ansouis just 10 minutes east. Reason being at our age we no longer wanted to climb stairs! Alas, we had to live upstairs (did I say stairs?) for four and a half months until the downstairs was renovated enough to move in. What a day that was…with the furniture all in place, hanging the paintings came next. And somehow this particular painting of a model on a stool was propped in the dining room. Never intending to hang it there, it just happened. And I have enjoyed it every day since. This painting along with my two favorite lamps and their glow have been enticing me ever since.
